Brian Fitzpatrick

Brian Fitzpatrick

Brian Fitzpatrick is one of the founding members of A Soldier’s Journey Home.  He initially joined fellow ASJH members in another charity aimed at assisting those affected by disasters, which then later morphed into ASJH.

Brian is a veteran member of the FDNY.  In fact, his first fire was at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Currently, he is a member of FDNY Ladder 22 on the upper west side in Manhattan and section chief for the FDNY’s Incident Management Team.  As such, he is responsible for logistics for the IMT.

Brian’s expertise in logistics is also put to work with ASJH, where he has oversight for everything from lodging to transportation to supplies and materials to medical support, volunteers and communications.

ASJH’s mission of taking care of wounded veterans motivates Brian to remain steadfastly  involved in the organization.  His son, Ryan, has also joined the fold, making it a family affair.  In fact, Brian considers ASJH his “second family,” with each build serving as a family reunion of sorts each year.
