Dave Esser
David Esser’s roots run very deep in the heart of Texas. His family has owned a 10,000-acre
fully-working cattle, sheep and goat ranch in Kendalia, Texas (Esser Ranch), for more than 131
years, where they host veterans throughout the year.
David also operates a custom home and commercial construction company, and has experience in all aspects of construction. In fact, he served as the general contractor for ASJH’s home build outside of San Antonio in 2018. He has been with the organization as a volunteer ever since.
David hosts wounded veterans on his ranch for hunting and long distance shooting. He also
guides veterans on other ranches around the area. His active involvement with the veterans over the years was the reason he was recommended to ASJH as a general contractor. David’s
experience as a former board member with another organization, his construction background, company management, and dedication to our nation’s veterans make him a valuable member of the ASJH team.
David says building homes for deserving veterans with ASJH is tremendously rewarding for himand he is honored to be part of the organization and a member of the board. “Giving back to someone that was injured while protecting my freedoms and everything we get to do everyday is the least I can do.”
